





It is obviously impossible to establish a method of mounting that will satisfy every situation and I am therefore detailing the method I used for my Myford Series Seven, no doubt a similar arrangement would suffice for any flat bed machine and be a basis for other bed forms.
Many readers will be conversant with the problem of securing items to the lathe bed where a clamping plate has to be held below the bed shears, the device being fitted held in position above the bed and the fixing screws put in place and fastened.
Lathe Mounting Assembly.
This is certainly a case where a third hand would be an advantage, and even then ending up with oily hands from the bed. I decided therefore that I would like a system that would be much easier and if I may say this I feel that I have achieved that.
The assembly, Photograph 28, is a very simple item comprising just three parts all of which need no comments regarding their manufacture.
