Guard Assembly.
Some may consider it unnecessary to fit a guard to the machine and that is a decision the viewer must take responsibility for, personally, I consider that one is an essential requirement. If you see the mechanism running at some 700 strokes per minute you will soon realise the potential danger, even if remote if used with care. Therefore, I consider that the reader should fit the guard shown fitted in Photograph 31. The parts being shown in Photograph 32.
Note that it is secured with wing nuts that enable it to be removed and fitted with ease which is necessary to change and align the files. Since making the guard I have increased the height of the guard on the drawings to increase the level of protection. Note that the fitting arrangement requires two extra holes in the Bottom Plate (11)

The Files start on the next page.
