Further storage was provided by creating draws in place of the plinth, Photograph 28, and with the doors also being a useful space for storage, Photograph 29, making them more than just an item to give a tidy appearance. Photograph 30 shows long trays for storing raw material, studding, etc. that have been located between the battens that support the bench top. The workshop door does though have to be opened to permit them to be removed fully.
An aspect of the workshop that I found particularly useful and would definitely incorporate it in any new workshop that I established is the method used for installing the electric's, Photographs 31 and 32 will I think illustrate the principle adequately. The switches/sockets can be mounted at any point along the trunking and with the cover being held in position with small area's of contact adhesive it can easily be removed for making changes or later additions.
