This covers a very diverse subject and probably the least well practised in the home workshop resulting in work being undertaken with less than sharp tools, not a good idea! The obvious reason for this being the cost of obtaining a tool and cutter grinder when considering its limited use.
This book seeks to overcome this hurdle by providing a simple design for a shop made grinding rest that together with its accessories can then be used with a standard off hand grinder. With this then available, instructions are given for sharpening the majority of workshop tools including one of the more complex tasks, sharpening the helical flutes of an end mill. Wood working tools are also given an airing.
The book also explains how to adapt a standard off hand grinder to take both Cup and Saucer wheels as these have some advantages when sharpening some workshop tooling. The rest and its accessories is though capable of excellent results even with a standard off hand grinder.
